Collection of acts (pp. 303-573) and resolutions (pp. 574-580) passed by the Kentucky General Assembly from December 1, 1817 to February 4, 1818. Gabriel Slaughter is listed on the title page as “Lieutenant Governor, and Acting Governor.”
One of the most important issues dealt with in this session was the changing of the border between Kentucky and Tennessee. This appears in an act to “repeal all laws passed by this State relative to the Southern Boundary Line” (pp. 437-438) and a series of resolutions “relative to the Boundary Line between this State and the State of Tennessee” (pp. 576-579).

- to incorporate Sauders’ Manufacturing Company
- to incorporate the Kentucky Ohio Canal Company
- to amend the laws concerning the Town of Frankfort
- to further regulate the Transylvania University
- to provide for copying certain records of Fayette County which were saved when the late Quarter Session and County Court officers were burnt, and to declare the validity thereof
The collection of acts could also be mined for genealogical information because of the many references to people living in the state at the time. There are a number of acts to provide relief to various individuals in need and some acts specifying the people to whom allocations of state money were made.
The text block is broken between pages 310 and 311 and pages 583-590 of the Index are literally hanging on by two threads. The pages remain supple, but have darkened from age. There is some foxing scattered through the pages. One leaf (pp. 445-446) is trimmed on the outside edge, affecting the marginal notes. This may have been a mis-cut sheet at the time of printing, rather than something done after binding.
WorldCat does not show any libraries holding this issue in book form and no copies are currently for sale. The microform copy in the Early American Imprint Second Series shows up under two OCLC numbers (40033732, 15460724). The catalog note for the microform copy notes that it was “[p]hotographed from an imperfect copy” from the American Antiquarian Society.
